Hi there! Welcome to Day 27of The Lilypad's MOC. You’ve made it this far, just a few more days left! Today’s challenge is the sketch challenge! Here is how this challenge works. I will provide you with a 4 x 6 sketch. Your job is to create a layout using this sketch. Obviously the first thought would be that this is strictly for pocket scrapping. Not so!!! All layouts integrating the sketch are welcome! Integrate it however you would like....a pocket page card, a greeting card, or part of your digi layout. As with all templates/sketches this is a jumping off point! Use your creativity and have fun! Please be sure to include a short description of what inspired you in the sketch and how you incorporated that into your layout. This description does not need to be lengthy, just a sentence or two. Here is the sketch: Here's what I came up with.. As you can see I was inspired by the strip with the three photos on it. I kept the angle as well as the journal placement. I also used a title and subtitle, something I rarely do! A few things to remember before you get started…. Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Please post your page in your page thread you created in this folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
I basically made a template from the sketch, angled it and continued paper strips and layers out from it. The little skinny strips are really what sent me down that path
I used the tilted design with the three boxes which I used for photos, with the title on top and a smaller subtitle below, also I put an element on the right of the title and instead of journaling lines on the left I used word art.
i think it's still obvious enough what i used - and i added stuff, which, if you know me at all, is no suprise
I kept with the idea of the 3 photos on the slant, and just loved the whole sketch for a nice page, so sort of lifted it
I tried doing a straight lift of it but didn't like the way it was going, so I straightened the triple photo bank. I used a bigger title than I normally do and instead of using a stripe under the photos used a cluster instead.
