I just went over my scrapping budget here at the Lilypad. Now I need to use some of the awesome stuff I just bought.
we have set up helpful cones of challenges (tee hee) and I'm here to cheer you on scrap scrap scrap!!
And I had a list of Dawn's items I hoped to purchase and then TLP had a sale! Now I'm torn -- since Dawn's product won't count toward some of the challenges, do I divert that amount to current product instead? And, of course, then Amber retired so there's another group of things to move into that "iffy" category. And, yes, I realize that it only has to be 50% for some of the challenges but MOC is coming and that's always an issue for me. Decisions ... decisions ....
@frani_54 MOC = month of challenges Every January you can sign up for it with a new challenge listed every day. The requirements of the products you use must be 90% (I think that's the number) SALEABLE (meaning in the store and for sale at that time) products, not freebies or retired. Everyone who completes all 31 challenges within the time frame listed and meeting all the requirements get a $20 store gift certificate. It is a fun time but also challenging to make sure you meet all the requirements listed with each challenge. I completed the 2017 & 2018 MOCs and had a lot of fun with them so many of us look forward to them all year (a wonderful jump-start on scrapping in the new year).
I don't technically have a scrapping budget, but I know that feeling--when there's a certain amount to spend and OOOOPS, somehow more stuff is in that digital cart. As Anne mentioned, the challenges are a great way to use what you've purchased, which is a great way to get some awesome pages scrapped. Enjoy your new goodies!
