Dalis post an awesome tutorial to curl shadow on the Art Journaling section! This is a technique that i admired on layouts but i didn't find how to made in my software !!! But after, this tutorial, i really want to find the solution for GIMP. So i tried again and i think i understand!!! Dalis ask to me to share with us the technique on my software because you can be interested in. It's the reason why of this post lol. but i want to apologize for my poor english because i write this ver quickly.... And to be clear, i'm not a specialist!!! And i'm sorry but my software is in French (i try to translate but it's perhaps not the right term....) Ok, to start add a shadow by going in filters -> shadow & light -> shadow -> drop shadow After, add a new layer above the journal card, select the pixel of the journal card and fill up with grey color. Change the mode of the layer above the journal from normal to overlay Select the tool brightening and dimming Trace a line on the layer above the journal card after, change the option of the tool that you select before from brightening to dimming here and enhance the size of the brush. drawn around the light line to darken a bit the journal card as you can see here, the light line is still too visible.... to fade this line, select the blur tool here and drawn on the line. You can see that the line fades Now we ended up on the layer above and we passed over the layer of the shadow. the first step is to resize the layer dimension of the image by the layer menu -> layer to image size After, select the blur tool and draw in on the corner of the journal card to overflow the shadow you obtained this result sorry for my english I wrote this very quickly I hope this can help you.
