Hi Everyone! Woot Woot! Have you seen all those goodies in the store?! It was a wild week behind the scenes! I hope you have found some lovely items to scrap your Document Your December Projects! So... I have to admit, I'm a failed DYD'er. I've never completed more than 5 pages in any given year, lol! Oops... So, since I'm not really cut out for the whole documenting part, I changed it up and decided to share something different for DYD. I am totally cut out to show you a fun and EASY project that I created for December. I created a Countdown to Christmas project. I have a title cover page, and then I created pages for 1-12. I put them in order from 12 to one though. You could also create 1-25 if you'd like! I created each card on a 4x6 layout and then had them printed locally. I plan on actually printing more - I want to try Shutterfly's Glittery cardstock! Then I can give them out as gifts. All I needed extra was the little frame holder. You could also subsitute the frame holder with a clipboard or a flip frame. So many options. Plus, once you print them, you can add bows, buttons, twine or other elements. I will apologize now... sorry, I'm not good at taking indoor pictures of creations, especially at night since it's dark when I leave in the morning, and dark when I return! Here are the individual pages. For my project, I used a bunch of kits and items new from the 2018 DYD goodies, and some from the past years! I liked mixing things up a bit. We would love to see your creativity in action!
This is such a great idea, my kids love counting down the days so something like this would make it more fun.
What a fun idea, Jenn! I'm going to have to make a set. And not to sound too naive, but I didn't know SF had glittery paper!
@jk703 Jenn! This is amazing. What a great idea. I've been thinking of what I want to do for our Advent countdown this year. I might have to do this.
Thanks Liz! I think I should thank you for the templates, lol! I'm ordering them from Shutterfly to give as gifts tonight!
I was inspired and I have stuff ordered to make something similar happen. I will be back with a photo when I get it set up.
I am back --- I have a few more cards to print out so every light has a card. This shows all the cards, but I am going to countdown the number of days until Christmas.
Those are so adorable! I love how each light lights up one card! LOVE! I love the idea of all the sticky notes! Super adorable! The trees and flowers are perfection!
Love these ideas!! I told my grandson, he's 7 and lives with us, to remind me to take at least one picture every day in December.
