So my son just informed me that he actually would like a friendship book, something my daughter got for her first day of school. He starts school in September. I kind of thought he wasn't interested in a book, so hadn't thought about it. Now I have to think fast and get one made! I plan to use the same design and layout as my daughter's, but need different kits. Send me ideas, please? He'll be 7 in October, is starting first grade, and so it has to be cool...

    This is my daughter's book:

    THANK YOU!!!

What a fabulous project!! Your kids are so lucky to have a devoted mom like you who takes time to put this together for them! I think it would be a great template project to offer in the shop!

I'm so glad you asked this. I'm scanning photos of my now 17 year old as a younger boy and am in need of boy kits too. Off to wishlist...

Great idea too! Love that you did that for them :)

Absolutely LOVE your project, Amber! I had done something similar for my girls waaaaaay back when they were in grade school, I did theirs with traditional supplies though. And there were several pages where all of their classmates wrote a little something in it and/or just signed it. The girls loved it, my son however, refused to let me make him one (he was quite a bit older though). :)

    GREAT choices everyone!

Wow! What awesome boy kits. I am going to have to scan some photos. I need some grandchildren. I know I would have so many photos! My daughter is getting married this fall ... here's hoping.

Wow... what a great idea :) und how beautiful and amazing your daughters book look - I`m in LOVE *awww*

I know the Friendshipbook-Hype too... it starts first in Kindergarten and in school again... but I never had the idea or the time to create one by myself - how silly I am. But since my eldest one will be 10 years in a week I know what you mean when you`re talking about "cool" *eek* Since he is in school everything has to be COOL...

I`m curious... are you still working on that book and what kits you were (are) using?
