Confession

Thank Goodness!

I didnt get a good backup of all my photos that I had on an external HD & guess what????? It freakin' crashed! There! I said it! Now I know better but it doesn't bring my photos back either.

Oh I'm so glad you found it!

I think I can top you all. My brother got married in England, but I was the official photographer of his California reception. Got lots of wonderful pictures. Came home, transferred them all from my memory card to my computer. Or so I thought. Easter was the next morning. I grabbed what I thought was a different memory card and cleared it to take Easter pictures. That I night I went to start working on the reception pictures. I couldn't find them. Anywhere. As I started hyperventilating, I realized with horror that they were gone. There were tears. I almost threw up. There might even have been some alcohol involved to calm myself down. LOL. My amazing, magical husband was able to recover about half of the pictures at a lower resolution so at least we have those. All of the posed family shots were saved which was the most important to them. THANK GOD. But almost all of the candids from the day are gone. As a photographer, I totally should have known better. Ugh.

I'm glad you found it Laura ... I would have fainted dead away!

YAY!!! So glad you found it, what a relief!!!!

and Karah, I think I would've totally died... so glad you were able to recover some of them!!!

Laura - so glad you recovered them! And oh no Karah - that's such an awful feeling.

It isn't a scrapping confession, but it is a photography one. I double-exposed our rehearsal dinner party/wedding night photos (yes, from my *own* wedding). :cry I didn't find out until I developed the film a couple weeks later. I was devastated. I was the only one who took photos during the rehearsal dinner party. Somehow, 23 years later, it doesn't matter, but then it sure did, and I felt sick about it.

Oh, Karah totally wins this one. Losing other people's pictures totally deserves some alcohol, I'd think.

My son deleted a picture we took with some friends who we only see once a year and were in town last week; I realized it when I was putting together my PL spread. I yelled at him, made him feel guilty and then refused to help him with the computer. Because apparently despite being 30 years older than him, I have the same maturity level. : ( I totally deserve the hall of shame for that.

Glad you found it!

My secret? I haven't printed a page in ages.
I also started a PL album and it has ooooh about 6 pages in it :/ All those supplies I bought JUST for PL..........eep!

I am so, very happy you found it!! And, glad to hear I am not the only one with 2 junk drawers! :)

Oh, Laura, so glad you found it!!

My worst moment was last fall after spending an amazing week with my sisters and families at my parents house in Illinois at Thanksgiving time, I came home and was uploading my photos into Lightroom and somehow managed to transfer my photos from my memory card back onto my memory card which I then formatted so that I could start taking pictures again. I wanted to throw up, there were precious memories on there. Fortunately, I did find a recovery program that allowed me to recover the majority of them from my memory card due to the fact that I rarely actually fill up a memory card, the files are apparently still there, they just haven't been overwritten yet (or something along those lines!).

I was sick over it though!
