I've been in kind of a lathery panic for the last two weeks. The memory card that I used all summer long (a month at my parents with the girls and their cousins, Yellowstone, CHA, 2 birthday parties, all of my P365 shots from this summer) was missing. I had only copied about 1/2 of them to my hard drive at the end of June. I had already conducted a pretty extensive search for it before I went away last week to my scrap retreat. No luck. :cry

Today, I told 2 of my scrapping friends and pretty much inducted myself into the Scrappers Hall of Shame. They were all "oh...you'll find it. you'll find it!" So, this afternoon, I dumped both of the junk drawers in my house.
:stash

Guess what?? I found it!!!!!

So glad I don't have to be in the Scrappers Hall of Shame after all. Phew. Anyone else have a scrapping confession? I feel much better now that I've unburdened myself. LOL

My confession is I can't seem to finish a page. I lost my mojo back in May and have been trying to find it since. I keep starting pages, not knowing what looks good where and deciding to just get rid of what I did. The other day I spent over an hour placing photos on a template. I went to chose a background before placing my elements and since I can't pick a background I'm ready to get rid of my work again. I may just push through this one and place some elements before getting rid of my work. Wouldn't it be amazing if one day I complete and post a page again? Lol.

I deleted a memory card once by accident before I had downloaded the photos. Digital cameras were a new thing to me and I didn't realize what I did when I was browsing the camera.

Goodness gracious! Talk about a panic! Glad you found it! :D

I only have three Halloween pics of the boys from last year...actually they are the only ones from the entire month of October and none of which are stellar. I have no idea how it happened. They were there on the memory card one day, gone the next! I now try to import at least weekly. Lesson learned.

Glad you found the card! I would have totally panicked!

Oh I'm so glad you found it! That made me sick reading the intro.

My problem is I forget to bring my camera and hate the way phone pics look for the most part.

I think I would have been in an all-out panic, are you kidding? So glad you found your images! I have had about six months' worth of photos disappeared when a computer of mine failed.

I was in Cancun with my best friend Sally, on vacation, in October 2004. I was using my first digital camera, ever. We had paid for an all-day tour to Chichen Itza, the Mayan pyramids. I took a ton of photos. That night we were having dinner and I was showing her the photos on the screen on my camera, when I accidentally pushed some buttons and deleted every.single.photo. from our vacation so far. I was devastated and cried. So what did we do? We went back to the hotel and promptly booked the same bus tour to Chichen Itza AGAIN, for later that week, so that we could go and take photos again. SERIOUSLY!

Now THAT is induction into the Scrapper's Hall of Shame! BUT at least I got photos, ha!

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad that you found your card Laura! I would have bawled my eyes out!

I had a memory card go corrupt on me once in the middle of a vacation. That was in about 2000 and I had a camera that used Smart Media chips. They were awful and that wasn't the only time I lost pictures because those cards would go corrupt. I lost pictures of the amazing Beaver Dam we were camped by and the beavers that were playing in the evening. I also lost a bunch of pictures of a couple of the waterfalls that we had visited. I was really bummed about those because i was playing with the shutter speed to get the water to blur and wanted so badly to see them. Sigh.

Can't really think of any scrap confessions though...

I was repeating "oh, my goodness! oh, my goodness!" in my head until I got to the part where you actually found it. Whew!

Phew Laura, I was feeling so bad for you until I read you found it!! What a nightmare!

I guess my worstdisaster was when I was scrapping on my laptop on hotel bed, got up to open the door, and tripped over the power cord, causing my laptop to crash to the floor. It died, but it turned out to be only temporary damage (some connector got disconnected in the screen). So actually the laptop survived the fall unscathed, but I passed a very very scary 30 minutes before I could verify that all my stuff was safe!

Yikes, that's awful! But how funny that you got back and redid the tour!! :giggle This totally deserves the prize! :)

Oh no, isn't that the WORST feeling ever? I hate losing something so important, especially when it drags on for weeks. I'm so glad your story has a happy ending!

My primary EHD and my backup EHD died within 3 months of each other this summer. I currently have no stash, no full size photos from May to the present, and no full size layouts from 2010 - 2 weeks ago.

However, I just shipped them both off today (in separate packages, of course) to my bestie's BF who is an IT guru who assures me that it is highly likely that everything can be salvaged, so I am holding out hope!
