I have not had a lot of time to create lately. But I have been cross stitching when I am a passenger in the car and at my daughter’s taekwondo classes. And I managed to finish this big 16” x 20” piece I have been working on for a while. I absolutely love how it turned out.
It's fabulous - I love it! It must have taken quite a while to complete too - congrats on finishing it.
This looks great! It is a long time since I did cross stitch. I bought a kit featuring a copy of one of my cousin's paintings of a boy fishing. I bought it to make when my daughter was expecting Jasmine as I thought this time it may be a boy so when Jasmine was born I did not have incentive to do it and then when Andreas was on the way life was busy with other things so it is all sitting in a cupboard somewhere. Maybe it is time I got it out and did some cross stitching again.
That is great! Cheryl @gonewiththewind has also done some beautiful cross-stitch pieces. It has been at least 20 years since I have done a piece. I used to love it -- guess I am scrapping now instead.
Oh how wonderful!!! I have always wanted to do a cross stitch, but sticking with it is my trouble! You have done an amazing job!
It's beautiful!! It has been a long long time since I did cross stitch, but this makes me want to pick it back up again!
WOW! So beautiful, and your stitches are so neat and even!! I know how much work you put into that huge project! Counted cross-stitch was my hobby prior to scrapbooking. The only thing is that I haven't finished too many projects. The last time I was cross-stitched was in 2005, when I made (and finished) my youngest niece a Baby's First Christmas stocking, which is what I did for my son and all of his cousins. I still want to make Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum's Angel of Love - I have just about everything, and I've probably had it for almost 20 years. LOL
