Thanks to everyone for playing along. Random chose AnnSofie as our lucky winner. Hi there, Stefanie here with a handy dandy challenge to get you started on the festive season early. I love digital scrapbooking, love creating my own template/foundation styled pages which are so easy to customize a day at a time in December. Life can be so busy then, but this allows me some creative time to prep for the December album I make each year. Your challenge is to create at least 1 (one) foundation style page in whatever style and size you'd like. One entry per person please. Your entry gives you a chance to win a $3 coupon to spend in the Lilypad store. Challenge closes on Monday, November 14th at 11:59pm EST. All types welcome - Hybrid OR digital OR all sizes (ie 4x6, 6x8, TN, square etc.) OR all styles and “December Memories” vs Daily. Whatever you have the scope and imagination for. I like to do a day at a time. It's the way my brain works. Credits: Baking Spirits Bright from ForeverJoy. This one is geared for a Christmas Baking day. So a Christmas memories or event style. Creadits : White Christmas by Elif Sahin Designs. This one is dated 5 days before Christmas, so it's more a daily Christmas countdown style. I love having space for a few photos, a date type element and some journaling. If you have any questions, please tag me @StefanieS I am looking forward to seeing what you're going to create.
@A-M Think of it as a template that you started to design with. To prepare for your Christmas photos, create a page that is ready to just insert the pictures. (Saved in a format you can alter it) Stefanie's pages are ready just to insert the pictures she takes for Christmas.
Sharon gave a good description above but I’ll also link Tracie’s post if you want to read more about foundation pages: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/threads/dyd-2022-foundation-pages.85489/
First I thought this wasn't for me, since we're not celebrating Christmas. But then my husband asked: "Why do you always say we don't celebrate Christmas?" He meant we do, in our own way, but not the crazy-stress-manic way. And I realized, I really want to try to document my December - how things are in our family. Maybe we really celebrate but my mind is so stuck in what Christmas should look like? I really liked making the layout I made for the Gingerbread Person Challenge - I made a foundation page based on that one: Credits in the gallery.
My page is ready for a photo of my sister's Christmas tree as we will be celebrating at her home and it always looks so nice with all the gifts placed under it:
Here's my template for Dec 1. I plan on taking a photo of something Christmasy each day for 25 days. Each page will have a different assortment of papers, elements and dates.
