The winner of the cover challenge is - @JenEm :clap
    Thanks for playing along, everyone!!

Are we all getting ready to document December now?? Have you figured out what your album is going to look like? Creating foundation pages? But what about a cover? I know for me that sometimes that is the hardest part about putting an album together. Well, I'm going to help you (and me) get past that part with a Cover Challenge!!

All you need to do is create a cover page for your DYD album. It can be any size, shape, or style. You can add photos or not. It's all completely up to you! It doesn't even have to be this year if you are working on an album for another year.

The gallery is full of awesome cover inspiration if you need it! Check out some of these:

And here is my cover for this year!

Now let's see yours!! Everyone who creates a new cover will be entered into a radom drawing for a $3 coupon! This challenge closes on Monday, November 18th at midnight EST.

Love your cover, Jan! And what great examples from the gallery as well! I think I have mine done for this year. I decided to try something a little different for me...

So much inspiration! Thanks Jan. I am thinking of removing my journaling and turning this into an album cover. Not sure if it will be for DYD or an inspirational album, but here is one from me.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to do DYD for 2019. But I may be convinced. :-) Here's my cover page, going with a cleaner graphic style in 8x4 TN format. What I find is that I often use a black or dark background, last year's DYD cover page also used a black background.

Thank you designers and CT for sharing your past processes and current plans! I've chatted, read and reviewed the gallery and posts to help me pinpoint what would work best for me.

I think that I've figured out what I'm going to do. I'm not doing a traditional, family style DYD . . . my kids are grown and the grandkids are not local anymore. So I'm taking Vinnie's recent advice about scrapping all areas of your life. Right now, that seems to be my cats!

With a touch of humor, I'll be putting together a softcover, 6x8 book that tells the story of our holiday season through the eyes of our youngest cat, Mo. He is the human equivalent of a 7-10 year old, who clearly understands that he has our family wrapped around his sweet, little paw. He will be providing guidance to all his feline friends about the human experience throughout December, and how to navigate it.

Guys, I'm really excited about this project!
