Happy Halloween Bash my fellow pad dwellers!!! I hope that you are all enjoying the fun and festivities we have going on this week!!

I am here to bring you the annual Costume Recipe Challenge!! I just love this challenge, I look forward to it every year!!

I was a bit stumped on which costumes to choose this year...we've covered a lot in the past years. So after careful consideration, I decided to go with inspiration from my work costumes!!

Here are my work group costumes that I've done in the past few years. We've had so much fun coming up some the theme and they always turn out so awesome!!



Your challenge is to follow one (or more) of the recipes I've cooked up below, based off of our group costumes, to create a layout. Each layout you create and post here will be an entry for the prize!

Recipe #1
Wizard of Oz
1. No matter where Dorothy goes, her faithful companion is there with her. You must have a faithful companion/animal on your layout.
2. The first character she meets in the land of Oz is the scarecrow. You must add stitches or thread to your page.
3. Next, Dorothy meets up with the cowardly lion. Add something that you might be afraid of on your layout.
4. Lastly, she meets the tin man while in the land of Oz. You must add something metal to your page.
5. Dorothy finds that she has been wearing red shoes that take her home the whole time. You must have something red on your page.

Recipe #2
Snow White & The Seven Dwarves
1. The mirror described Snow White as "lips red as the the rose, hair black as ebony, skin snow as white." You must have something red, something black and something white on your page.
2. Snow White escapes to the forest to get away from her evil stepmother. You must add something that you would find in the forest on your layout.
3. Snow White comes to live with the 7 dwarves. You must have 7 items of the same thing, but no repeats (i.e. 7 different flowers, 7 different ribbons, 7 different papers)

Recipe #3
The Flintstones
1. The Flintstones are all about family and their best friends are the Rubbles. Your layout must be about family or loyal friends.
2. They are a family that lived in the dinosaur age...you must dig out an oldie but goodie kit to use!
3. Fred loves to bowl and has a signature move...twinkle toes!! You must have something that twinkles or sparkles on your page.
4. Wilma is Fred's wife and is a bombshell with fiery red hair. You must add something red to your layout.
5. Barney is Fred's best friend and is there for him through thick or thin. Please add a trusty sidekick or animal to your page.
6. Betty is Barney's wife and best friend to Wilma. She is always wearing a blue dress with a ragged hem. You have to have a torn edge on your layout.

Recipe #4
Sesame Street Gang
1.Big Bird, the flightless but kind and loving bird. You must add something with wings to your layout.
2. Elmo is enthusiastic and cheerful. Please add something small and red to your page.
3. Cookie Monster is a bit frenzied, but he loves to eat...especially cookies. Please add something round to your layout.
4. Grover is exuberant and talkative, and personally, my favourite. Please add something blue!!
5. Oscar is the resident grouch and hates all things nice and sweet. Please add a green item to your page.
