Here is mine, I used the multiply mode on my paints and I also used the magnetic pen tool to remove some of paint for my collage underneath to peek through more in places

Love this challenge - use blending modes a lot!
I have used the overlay, darken and multiply modes on the tree, the stamp overlaying the moon and the music stamp running along the bottom.

Let's just say that we ought to be really glad this is "digital" and not real paint as I was a slinging and flinging. I used a bunch of different blend modes. I really like the dissolve.

So here is a question... I used the dissolve blend mode so I got all these "holes" in my green paint. But as you can see above, the jpg version does not have that. When I look at the tiff file outside of PSE, I can see the holes but not really that well either. Ideas? Cause I really like those holes.

@BevG love your page & that dissolve is a cool blending mode but no idea why the jpeg looks like that? try saving at a really high qlty jpeg and see if you see the "holes"? maybe the lower quality jpeg tries to compensate for the white spaces? I would google it and see if the web has any suggestions bc that is quite a difference that you are seeing!

Great technique challenge. It took me a little bit to figure out how to make it all merge together but after I did, I liked how it came through. Used Pin Light on the first (then duplicated the layer), Hard Light on the second and Linear burn on the third. Here's the result:

I played with some glitter splatter and paint splatter on the background. I love the look it gave the galaxy paper.

I layered two paint-y borders on top of each other, one with the multiply blending mode and one with the difference blending mode. There's also a little bit of paint peeking out from behind the paper strip and I used the difference blending mode on that as well.

Great challenge, thank you! I used Linear burn and Linear Light with my paints.
I also erased a bit with a low opacity eraser in some places.
