***** WINNER ****** Bev G! Woo Hoooo! I'll be sending you a PM shortly! Hi Everyone! Happy DSD! You've probably gotten your cart all filled up with all the products on sale, so don't forget one of my faves! Paint! A simple but effective technique that might make you look at paint a little differently! I bet you are scrapping like Crazy, trying to fit everything in, and I hope this challenge is fun. Maybe you might learn something too! For this Challenge, I want you use paint on your layout and blend it into the backgrounds. If you like, use multiple paint blends. One perfect example is my signature. It's all paint, and blending when overlapping and using different colors. No paper is actually used. Here are the Blend Modes in Photoshop: Once you have them placed, you can scroll through the Blend Modes and see the changes it makes to the paint. The dark red is behind the mixed paints. Here is just straight paint: Here is how it looks with a combination of Hard Light for the bright reddish color and Pin Light for the mixed paint. You can see how some of the coloring changes and lightens. You can also kind of see the white paper texture. Here is another combo - Linear Burn on the Reddish Paint, and Luminosity on the mixed paint. It turns to almost a gray scale and makes the reddish color change where they overlap. Taking on the multiple layers, I added another pink layer of paint, and then chose the Exclusion Blend Mode. It changed from Bright Pink to Green! And I thought it looked really cool! I chose a different section to show you, so you could see the differences.
