Anyone who knows me knows that I like to scrapbook for the sake of memory keeping. I absolutely love the art of it as well, but for the most part I like to tell stories. When working on pages, it gets quite mundane and a wee bit boring to just plop my journaling down on the page. That absolutely works and I do that a lot because it's easy and saves a lot of time! Usually I like to find a way to creatively place my journaling to add to the design of the page.

Here are some examples of what I would consider "creative journaling". These were just some of the ones from the first 3 pages in my gallery. Images are linked to make bigger.

Using text paths on shapes. Going really narrow and vertical. Placing it in an interesting way between elements. The options are endless!

For this challenge I would like for you to do a page and place journaling on your page in a creative way. You can have lots of journaling or just a few lines, but it needs to be placed on there creatively and not just set on there. If you are stumped or need help, go to the store, type in "text path" and you will find some super awesome elements and things that would work perfect for this! There might even be a template or two that would help!

I had a play as well and made this new page as inspiration. I wanted to use that green background and I knew that it would be super fun to put my journaling on the diagonal lines. I cannot wait to see what you guys come up with!

This challenge will close on Tuesday, October 4th at 8 am EDT. The winner will receive a $5 store coupon. Please remember, that layouts must contain a minimum of 50% TLP products to comply with our gallery standards. Any templates used count for a total of 15%.

I love meaningful journaling but am prone to the dump and run technique. This was challenging - fitting what I wanted to say into exactly the right amount of lines. All credit to the template- I couldn't have done this alone :)

I started this page for the journalling challenge but then saw this challenge and incorporated it in. Hope that's ok!

I tried to make the journaling a specific part of the layout planning, so that the planned shape wasn't complete without it. It's also placed sideways so that you automatically turn with the layout. Hopefully, that's at least a little what you had in mind. ;)

Well, I have had this template for a while, but it always seemed like too much journaling to figure out, but it was perfect for this and it wasn't as hard as I expected. Thanks for the push!
