Hello there! We are just starting a slow scrap in the chat room. Come on over and join us! I will also post the steps here. Step one – Preheat your creative mind by opening your software and starting a layout. Collect your ingredients (pick out a kit to use). Step two – Grease your cookie sheet (pick one background paper). Step three – Create some cookie shapes. Add at least 3 circle shapes to your page moving across the page. Those shape may be filled with photos or filled with journaling. If you prefer “cut out” cookies, you may use a shape other than a circle. Step four – Under each cookie shape add a slightly larger piece of paper that is the same shape. They do not need to be centered. Step five – Now let’s decorate our cookies! Cookies are made in dozens, so I want you to add at least one dozen elements to your page. If you want to keep with the cookie decorating, think of Valorie Wibbens sprinkles… sequins, tiny beads, bits of glitter… Step six – Now we all know that cooking can be messy so I want some kind of messy element on your background, a sprinkle of flour, some paint, a stamp, shredded bits of paper, etc. Step seven – As a final bit of frosting on our cookies, let’s add a dimensional title to our page… something that would usually cast a shadow, so a title from an alpha (not stamped) or a title you create with a font covered in paper. You will have until 24 hours after the chat ends to complete your page and earn a fun prize... so by 10:00 pm EST tomorrow, Tuesday, November 16th. Post your pages in the Speed Scrap Gallery and then post them here too! ETA: Here's my layout:
Karen, I'm SO SORRY. I fell asleep in my recliner, woke at 9:15 p.m., 15 minutes after the chat would have ended. Now (of course), I'm wide awake. Hoping to put together a layout...
Karen dear, once again thank you so much for hosting, and to everyone for the nice and fun chat. Here's my take, hoping that I understood rightly the instructions -I LOVED my page- Full credits in gallery. By the way isn't a flower or sequin scatter but a flower that I repeated to "create" a scatter. Wishing you a wonderful day and a fantabulous week ahead!
[QUOTE="Cherylndesigns, post: 1394149, member: 119010 I was watching TV with my hubby. I just spaced on it. [/QUOTE] I guess it was a good tv program, my hubby and I follow some series and is really addictive. You have a wonderful evening my dear
That is a fun recipe! Definitely a busier layout than I would normally create but one needs lots of sprinkles on cookies! Merry Christmas by AnnaB posted Nov 16, 2021 at 7:12 AM
Does it make you feel any better to know that I almost fell asleep before the chat too?! Sorry we missed you at the chat though. It's SOOOO dark by that time of night these days that it definitely feels like bedtime!
Hope I managed to get everything into the final draft.. Cannot tell you how many different ways the cookies got arranged!!!!!
Thanks so much for playing along with my Cookie Scrap on Monday everyone! I've sent out prizes to everyone and added my layout to the original post for fun too.
