Can someone explain the points?

Hi Heather,

You wont' be able to use them this weekend because they don't work on the weekend releases (the points system is a work in progess) you can choose "pay by points" and this will let you add in the amount of points you would like to use and then it applies the discount when you check out. If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a PM :)

I was wondering this too! Is there a place that shows what the points are worth?

What is the point system and how do you earn them? I just purchased something in the store and now I have points can you earn them in other ways too?

Points are earned through purchases only.

Bonus reward points are awarded for every purchase, excluding the purchase of Gift certificates. For each $1 your spend, 10 bonus points will be added to your reward account. As you accumulate points, each set of 250 points may then be redeemed for $1 towards your purchase balance. If you purchase $25 or more in a single purchase, you will recieve a extra 350 points in your rewards account.

Another fun way to stretch your TLP dollars is to play along with the monthly challenges. Complete
2 challenges = 10% off
4 challenges = 20% off
6 challenges = 30% off

If you complete all 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team!

i've never been able to successfully redeem my points. I have a bunch and would like to use some points to buy a couple of SOSN items today, but although it shows the points coming off, the total isnt actually discounted any. Help!

I bought something recently with points...but it had a glitch. It told me how many points I needed to make the purchase, I typed that in to the pay with points amount and was told that I didn't have enough points. Soooo...what I did was entered in all of the points that I had..it took what it needed to make the purchase (I think it told me 750 points when it actually needed 820 or so...been a little while so my brain is fuzzy on it). It only took the points it needed not all that I submitted so I didn't really think about it but there is some sort of issue with the calculations with points. Anyhow hope this helps.

I've been able to use them successfully a few times. What's worked for me (similar to Sarah) is to enter a slightly higher point amount than is required. So if your order is 650.00, type in 651.00. Not sure why it's worked for me this way... at first I thought it must have been the USD to CAN conversion LOL.

We are very sorry for those of you that are having trouble redeeming your points. We are working hard to come up with a new customer loyalty program and that should be in place soon.

I have redeemed several times w no problems on purchases that are not on sale and not Byoc. I simply enter in full points I have and it takes what it needs. However if I try to redeem for a partial amount (points not enough to cover entire purchase) or for a sale item including Byoc and such it does not work. It evidently doesn't want you taking advantage of a discounted item with points.

Good luck. :)

Just like Denise, I have used the points a couple times too with no problems. The items can not be on sale or BYOC. and it worked fine.

I have an item in my cart tonight (I sent a help email to customer service). It's not byoc and it's not on sale, yet the points apply and show a 2.07 discount which is great, but the total doesn't reflect the discount. Totally bummed.

Hi Kat,

I'm sorry you are having trouble. I know it's very frustrating. You can try a different browser because that does make a difference for a lot of people.

Kat- are you trying to use them to lessen the price of your item? If so it likely won't work. Only way I have successfully redeemed on any browser is if the points are enough to cover the full purchase price.

I'm having problems too. Every time I tried. So I'll enter the total amount I have, like you did. Let's see what happens!

It worked! Thanks for the tip :)

Hi there! I have a question about the discount you can earn by doing challenges. I'm on a limited budget, and was wondering about the discount.... does it last a certain time period, or is only good for one use, or only on PU goods, or generally, how does the discount work? I've got all these gorgeous things I've gotten from TLP over the years, and would love to participate in some challenges, but trying to figure out how helpful the discount program will be with my budget, if that makes sense. Thanks so much!
