I have been absent for a good 3 months :imok
Was really really tired all of the time and also I joined a crochet along to make my first granny square blanket (which is almost complete > border stills needs to be finished) and mum, who can't do this anymore due to Parkinsons and Cancer, asked me to make her a 2pers one.
I had blood work done and apparantly I caught Glandula fever winter 2013/spring 2014. And I had a very very low Vit. D count which made me feel worse. So I decided to sit back and focus on the crochet and rest.

I can work slowly on mum's blanket and I have more space now so I am slowly making my way back to our community of sweet and wacky artists :giggle And on time I see as it is MOC again :woot:woot

oh and another good news is we are expecting our 3rd blessing :beat

Glad to see you back, Helen. I hope you are feeling better and Congratulations on your baby!!

Wow, Helen! That's a lot going on!

and apparantly I caught Glandula fever winter 2013/spring 2014.

In Canada & America, glandular fever is called "infectious mononucleosis." I had it, too, a few years ago. I was travelling in Europe with some people from Australia & New Zealand and I got really sick. They kept saying, "you might have glandular fever" which didn't sound that all that serious to me, until I went to a doctor! Whatever it's called, it is not fun at all! It's good to hear you are feeling better now.

And a huge congrats on your new baby! :stash All the best to you & your family!

Thank you ladies!!!! :beat:beat

Nancy my mum is on the mend, she has finished radiotherapy and is growing hair again, fuzzy wuzzy hihi, all that is left is 2 yrs of (anti) hormone tablets and some 30 odd weeks of once every 3 weeks chemo shot. Hoping after all of this it is over and she can get her Parkinsons stable again!

Sanne feeling better than when with Dean, that was HG, now I am just very nausea 24/7 but the meds are helping. It is draining though but the kids are also soooo sweet :heartlub

MelanieB It makes you feel exhausted all the time with other odd bits here and there :( I always had an excuse, still breastfed, mum getting ill etc. But when speaking to a friend she said to go in for a blood test as it could also be gland issues or b12 shortage etc. I was surprised to hear that my bloodwork showed a supicious trail of GF which meant had it and was recovering. also that my vit D was so low!

glad you are back Helen.. congrats on the up coming addition. I too was low on Vit D and know exactly what you are talking about... was taking these horse pills (huge) with 50,000 IU's of D3 and for 8 weeks and now taking 1600 units per day... hopefully my levels are stable. Will find out in March when I go for blood work. Glad though you are back ... Hugs!

I can still remember it clearly! The Epstein-Barr virus showed up in my blood work, and that's how I was diagnosed. The gland on my neck had swollen so much it looked like I had a tumour! Walking up stairs was exhausting! It stays in your system so you always have to be careful.

Hey Helen, great to see you back! Sorry to hear you have been unwell but YAY to a new little one! Congratulations!

Wow! What a load you are carrying. I hope all the medications and rest work wonders for you. Also will pray for protection for your little one being knitted within. Congratulations and I'm glad to meet you (I'm new being regularly around TLP).

Ugh shortly after posting this I came down with the flu so back at the beginning again with HG and on meds but gaining strength again so sat myself behind the computer. I don't think I will be able to finish MOC this time but will try my best!

Exactly, it stays in your system for years so having a hiccup somewhere fires up the symptoms again :/ I didn't get booster vit D but had to buy normal pills ? while others I knew did get boosters. I have to have blood work done in my 12th week and will ask if they can also check my vit D levels as well.

Diane thank you as well and welcome to the pad!!

Welcome Back! Hope yu feel better, take car of yourself for that new little one, and congratulations.

I'm so happy to see you back, sweet Helen! I know it's been a time of trials for you recently but I'm so hopeful that everything will continue to look up for you! Wishing you good health and good rest and lots of love!

SO excited for your new little one!!!! :beat
