So , I'm back-ish... :giggle
i will post an update with time and a better capacity but I have been thinking about sharing this with you, so I thought I do now as almost 03:00 am and I need a bit of sleep :)
Not sure how, but I think it was a side bar Facebook advert, or one of those videos promo Facebook is so plagued with.... that I would complain about, if not for the fact that one awesome Cruise we did in 2011 was thanks to one of those adverts...and now I have found a way to de-clutter and organize our place, this awesome product, some of you may know it? It is made here in the UK, invented by a woman, they do sell a lot in the USA though, and there are tons of You Tubers with projects that made Sarita and I want to re decorate the house all over again!!!!
It is moldable glue, you open the pack, you have 30 minutes until it starts to dry, so in those 30 minutes you shape it, smooth it or mix colors, then leave it for 14 hours..... and it becomes rubber... I m not sure I am explaining too well, but there are tons of videos in their web site and craft tutorials too.
We took some photos of what we did but I can;t stand up now to download into the Mac ...but the project these people show are far better than our first time playing (is literally like play dough!!! - they describe it as "if Super Glue and Play Dough had a baby"

We are in love with Sugru!!!
here she explains it
this is their You Tube

Already started organizing my desk and how to have things handy so I don't need to call Sarita for the wire to charge the Mouse or my USB extension, fixed my cable that was peeling of, made a couple oh hooks one one side to have things handy, and attached a Denis the Menace to the edge of my desk so I can roll the cable there and is out of the way, but handy if I need to charge!!!
there are some amazing videos there, and it can be used for hybrid scrapping too!!! there is a tutorial of how to make stamps....seriously, we are in love with this thing!!
Something we discovered is that the use by date , valid till isn;t so, it says last 6 months in some cases or up to 13 months in others.... I bought the first end of 2015, but, as things go in this house, I didn't remember, Sarita didn;t remind me so when I had to either buy another mouse charging cable or fix it to carry on, I remembered the Sugru... the valid till date was September 2016...we used it last week. Things are ok. I wouldn't go on things heavy, just in case, but our hooks, the cable I fixed? all amazing, still holding great, with a product that is supposed to be thrown away 2 years ago!!!!

we love this one

Any of you know it? have used it? any project you have made or repairs or decoration, we are interested in getting new ideas!!!!!!!

That stuff is really cool! I've never seen or heard of it before, but now I want some! I was watching their videos and getting all kinds of ideas in my head!

Lol I actually have a pack! Its about a year or 2 old now. Still plastic wrapped b\cos we've been saving it for fixing stuff that we can't figure out how else to fix!

My 10 year old now wants some...thanks for that. :giggle

LOL sorryyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! we need to catch up!!! I ll try make time soon soon soon for your gallery and a chat!!!!

did you look in their website? they have some amazing ideas!!!

and Jan , Mylin...if you buy, buy from Amazon....
My carer bought some after she helped fix my mouse charing cable, and she said she bought it cvjheaper so thus time UI went to both to compare, not only cheaper, but as we are Prime members, next
day delivery was available!!! @IntenseMagic @Mylinn

I had never heard of this product. I must have a look and see if it available in Australia.

I've never heard of this either - but it's defiantly cool - i just saw one of the you tube videos about usng it in your office/desk area & it looks so neat! So funny you had it lying around for a few years and rediscovered it Cynthia ... and that it still works!!! :)

I thought the hybrid girls would love it, they even have a krafts kit, comes with several colors, in a tin box, some stuff to make texture but for scrapbookers, you may just buy only the sugru and use stuff at hand.... I am starting to fix a lot of accessories that broke, we will be selling a LOT of stuff that we have that we don't use, clothes, shoes, purses/handbags etc, and this stuff fixes almost everything!!!

This is trully awesome! I used to play with polymer clay, but baking it is such a pain in the *&%$. I've always wondered why they don't make a non bake version. Now my dream came true!
Is it durable? Does it break easily?

I told my Mom to get this for my Dad at Christmas... she didn't. So, now I still have a gift idea for the man who has everything and needs nothing. Plus, he's an electrician, perfection! :giggle Cool stuff!!!

I never saw this before.. just watched it and I was amazed at the new foot / leg for the chicken! How awesome is that!

PS...now I started watching another video on how someone else does her laundry b/c it was on the side bar...I'm never going to get my layouts done!

I thought the hybrid girls would love it,
I haven't tried that product, which looks AMAZING, but I have used Sculpey Bake and Bend Polymer Clay to make custom rubber stamps. I bet the Sugru would work great too. Thanks for the share, Cyn! :agree

If anyone is interested in how to make stamps using the Sculpey stuff, here's a video I saw years ago.

oh I'm so glad to be useful!!!! :heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

As a matter of fact, everything I do, see , discover, always my first thought is how to phrase the post to share with you guys!!!! My dehydrated brain sometimes let me down and I end of forgetting, or make the post 3 times and delete it, so I am so glad I could show you something many of you didn't know!!!!
I know some of the greatest purchases I have made in the last decade came for posts from scrappers, the main one being my slow cooker/crock pot!!!!

It is durable, and it turns into rubber,so I doubt it would break, I can't really say much as I just started using it a few weeks ago. I know there is the davantage of using it inteas fo screws or nails, it can hold up to 2kilos, and say I used it to put a photo frame on the wall, whenever I don't want it anymore, or a hook in my kitchen tiles, you can take it away by gentle sliding a piece of plastic or a knife and it comes out without damaging the walls or tiles, it is also heat resistant so we are making some hooks for towels in the radiators
you can make bendy things too, if you have a look at some of videos you will see, honestly, possibilities are endless.
There are lots of videos not only from the Sugru people but by people who reviewed it and show you their projects or fixes, worth having a proper look :)

I am going to have to try this for sure!

oh I think you'll love it!!!!!:heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

I told my Mom to get this for my Dad at Christmas... she didn't. So, now I still have a gift idea for the man who has everything and needs nothing. Plus, he's an electrician, perfection! :giggle Cool stuff!!!

oh so glad !!!!!! and yes!! perfect for electricians!!!:heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

I never saw this before.. just watched it and I was amazed at the new foot / leg for the chicken! How awesome is that!

isn't it awesome? I got lost in the video land of people who create or fix stuff, I'm so excited now I have started... I even have a project to make something with the ECG electrodes they made me go home wit last night (A&E /ER long story, I ll write later!) to make some really cool hooks for my cables!!!:heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

So good to see you back Cynthia!
:heartlub:heartlub:heartlub trying my best, which isn't great ta the moment but try one must!!!! I could not to be here for MOC!!!!! :heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

I never heard of this stuff before but it sounds amazing! DH is going to love it!
seriously, I think is the best invention I have seen in a long time!!!!!:heartlub:heartlub

Wow, that looks amazing. Emailed the Youtube link to DD and DH :-)

Once again, I am so so glad I can be useful!!!!!! :heartlub:heartlub:heartlub

WAH!! Why couldn't I think of something like this?!!?
:giggle you think of marvelous pages to make us happy!!!!!!!

PS...now I started watching another video on how someone else does her laundry b/c it was on the side bar...I'm never going to get my layouts done!
:giggle that's ME!!!!!!!!

I haven't tried that product, which looks AMAZING, but I have used Sculpey Bake and Bend Polymer Clay to make custom rubber stamps. I bet the Sugru would work great too. Thanks for the share, Cyn! :agree

so so glad, again, to be useful for something!!!! That is the one thing that made me fall in love with it: you don't need to do anything, just shape it. You have 30 minutes to shape it, then a 24 hours to dry... you are done!!!!! I ll take the photos and come back later to show what I did so far, but the videos in YouTube are awesome!!!!:heartlub:heartlub:heartlub
