August Random Challenge

we literally live on the wrong side of the tracks. LOL

 

This was a great challenge, I always feel so peaceful when I pass this small farm very close to my house.

I found this extremely difficult.
I despise living in the city. It took me a long time to find a positive. The best I could come up with is that being in / close to the city allows us to get to big events easily.

 

Here's my layout. I think there are other photos I would have liked to add, but this is what I had time for. I love living near one of the Great Lakes and would really miss being able to drive by the water as often as I do, wen I am just going around town.

Most times when I take a walk, I walk by this statue.

I love this piece of art in my town. It tells a historical story, about how the street lights were lit back in the day when there wasn’t electricity yet. The man that had this job, also had somewhat of a security job. Since he walked around the whole town every evening. It is a very simple statue, and it is placed in such a random spot, that it actually makes me love it more. And that’s the thing with this city of mine. On first look, it’s nothing much. But there are quite a few hidden gems. Once you pay attention, this town gets prettier.

This is an event that happened for the first time in my area. I hope that counts for the challenge.

 

I love to walk around downtown Charleston and photograph the beautiful old historic homes with their window boxes full of colorful flowers and their porches. We have lots of great oaks and palmetto trees. I'm also a big fan of the garden gates made by Phillip Simmons.

I Actually Had a Hard Time Picking What Subject To Scrap About For This Challenge But Decided To Scrap About The "Atlantic Balloon Fiesta"...This Big Hot Air Balloon Festival Takes Place Not Too Far From Where I Live Every September & This Year It Celebrates It's 32nd Consecutive Year...People Come From Far & Wide To Gaze At The Big Beautiful Balloons & If You Are A Little Adventurous & Not Too Afraid Of Heights You Can Go Up,Up And Away For $200.00 A Person...Yikes!...

I Actually Had Fun Making This Layout...Blending 4 Papers Together Plus I Turned One Of The Photos Into A Paper & Added That To The Blend...I Love The Way They All Blended Together For A Big,Bright & Happy Layout Complete With That Adorable Sun Element For A Little Extra Finishing Touch...
