Hello everyone and happy August to you! (It's my birthday month, so obviously it's my favorite month of the year!) I am thrilled to be able to host the journaling challenge this month. I know some people groan at the thought of journaling, but it is usually my favorite part of my scrapbooking. I could type on and on and on because I really love that journaling captures the stories of my life. So, for this month's challenge, I want you to capture the story of something that makes you happy. It can be something small or something major. It can be something recent or something in the past. I just want everyone to dig down and find their inner Pollyanna and focus on something happy! Even if that means adding flowers and hearts to a layout about a new power tool! Requirements: 1. Create a layout with journaling about something that makes you happy. The end. Here's my happy layout: I can't wait to read your happy stories! As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the AUGUST Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
It's the little things that bring me joy these days, like ironing patches on my kiddo's Tiny Superheroes cape. Since this is for his album, I journaled to him
I don't know what prompted the memory, but I remembered this at the weekend and it really made me happy. I used my favourite children themed kit for it.
