The Bronze Horseman has been the frontrunner for quite a while? Shall we call it decided and then have Here Be Dragons for September?

And how does mid-August sound for a chat?

I just finished The Bronze Horseman...word to the wise...it's going to be hard to read anything else before you read the other 2 books in the trilogy. I bought both of them when I was about a third the way through TBH. :giggle

I voted Here be Dragons, becuase I just got it from the library. HAHA!!

But, I just put The Bronze Horseman on hold now too.
I think we should allow some extra time becuase there are 3 books in the trilogy.
Isn't that right?? Or is there more? Although, goodness knows... I'll probably read them back to back.

Lisa...that's good to know! I always love a good series!

Krista...you will LOVE Here Be Dragons. It is still one of my all time favorites! I can't wait to read it again!

I have to finish Pillars of the Earth before I can start anything new, so I'll have to kick myself in gear!

Are we reading all three of the Bronze Horseman books? Or just the first one? If it's all three, there's no way I can finish Pillars plus read the other three in time.

Can anyone who has already read The Bronze Horseman tell us whether the book will stand alone for discussion? IMO, it's too much to read all 3 for most people.

Oh dear... I just got the Bronze Horseman from the library and it's gigantic! I love fat books, but I'm hoping we're just doing the first by mid-august. I know I'll read the others too if there's a trilogy, but one thing at a time.

We could just let people read the other in the trilogy if they want to and have a discussion thread for each one and people can just chime in as they read. I loved being able to go back and read through everyone's thought on the Fever series after I finally caught up and read those. :)

I would say just the first one. I've heard a lot of people talking about it so I'm pretty sure it stands alone Laura.

I vote for just the first one. There is no way I could read all 3 before mid-August - I just don't have that much free time! :)

Ooh! I'm so excited - I just got notice from my library that my hold for both The Bronze Horseman and Here Be Dragons came up! I'll be picking those up today!
