This one was only $1.99 on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I tried to look just now if it still is, but since I bought it already, the price isn't showing up. Lol.

Like I've been doing the last couple of times, I am posting the next few months (June -September) all at once, so we can all get these books on hold at our libraries in time. :) The book we will be reading for August 2019 is The Paper Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg. Please label spoilers or even type them in white like I just did right here(highlight that blank space) so that a person has to highlight it to read it.

I just downloaded this one on Kindle Unlimited - if any of you have that, snag it.

It's listed at 3.99 on Amazon for me right now. I've put all the upcoming reads on hold.

I audio'd this one i think last year - it's not a spoiler at all but i'll white out my opinion....
i kept thinking it was trying to be The Night Circus (book i loved and thought of as well crafted and amazingly elegant and highbrow) crossed with Edward Scissorhands, and it came off as the very early, lacking finesse and training Edward Scissorhands

I'd give it 2 and a half awkwardly cut out paper snowflakes out of 5
(i couldn't find the gif i wanted but this sounds about right)

would be interested to know if anyone read the follow-up book?
