Asking for prayers

I think it's okay if he isn't reacting yet. Grief is such a strange thing. Like you said it will hit him soon, but then he may be nonreactive again. It's a big loss. Will continue to pray.

I am so sorry for your loss.

My uncle had the same reaction recently when my grandma passed away. He was completely locked down at the funeral and burial but all the grief came out once he got home. Maybe your husband will be able to do that when he's back home with you. ((hugs))
 
I'm so sorry for your loss. Saying prayers for comfort for your husband and your whole family. I lost my Grandma when she was 91 a few years ago and sounds like the same thing. She was awesome and we spent summer at her farm. The great thing about a funeral is that you can remember all the reasons a person is special and even hear other people's memories about that person too. It'll be hard of course, but also nice to spend time with everyone else who loved her too.
