It's April and time for another month of challenges! I wanted to host the Scraplift challenge this month to scraplift our Guest Polly - Margaret, known here as londoncuppa. If you take a look at her beautiful gallery, there is a multitude of gorgeous pages to choose from for inspiration and scraplifting. As I went looking through Margaret's gallery, I found this lovely page. Margaret and I share a love for all things London and Coffee (as her name here at the pad conveys ) and so I chose this page of hers to scraplift: Here is my page: Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the April Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see how Margaret's Gallery inspires you!
@londoncuppa Are you also a trackball user? I just saw a layout of yours with a photo of one....Do people also look askance at you and claim they can't work on your PC because of your very strange mouse? I get that all the time at work (I brought my own trackball to replace the standard mouse they provide). I'm going to lift that page down to the photo topic, lol.
Let the fun begin! Congrats to @londoncuppa for being a guest Polly and great choice for the scraplift challenge, Christa! @cfile Off to take a look at the awesome gallery! @londoncuppa - I'm a "use it all" scrapper, too. LOL I found the LO I'm going to lift. YAY! Here's my lift of Margaret's layout.
Woohoo to a fellow user!!! I've been an exclusive trackball user for at least 15+ years....and I can only use the Logitech balls (hate the Microsoft ones). When Harrison was a toddler, he used to steal the ball and flush it down the toilet. I had to keep buying new mice just for the ball. That's one story I haven't scrapped yet, but it's definitely on my list. The little stinker...
Ahhhh, OK then-----LOVE LOVE LOVE your work, but WOW, this is out of my league!!!! Am I even talented enough to scrap one of your fabulous layouts??? OK, so I found one I think I can tackle. Hope I can do you proud!! Here it is: Here is my layout. Thanks for a lovely layout to scraplift!!
So many fabulous layouts to choose one, making it very difficult! But I think I found one - though it may change before I post! Chose this layout by londoncuppa: My layout:
Here's the layout I'm scraplifting: I was inspired by her use of song lyrics. Mine is a somewhat cleaner & simpler one but still in keeping with the idea I think.
Lol...sorry, Jennifer. I'm actually trying to work on getting some C&S (or simpler for me) layouts done & uploaded to help you C&S scrappers out, if you want to move on to the other challenges first.
Don't be silly, Nancy, You are a fantastic scrapper!!!! I'm stalking this thread because I know you guys are going to be fabulous. Tag me when you upload your layout because I want to see what you do. I KNOW FOR CERTAIN it will be awesome!
i went with her page for the before and after challenge: this is my version -i was inspired by the photo placement, different edge work, no solids and a mix of colours!
