Hello Scrappers near and far! It's April, and I'm ready for the hopefully warmer temps, and moving closer to summer weather here in New Jersey. Though, I anticipate a lot of rain, but we have already had a lot too! I get to host the journaling challenge and it's going to focus on April. I'm going to give you 5 different prompts and I would like you to journal about one prompt. If you want to do more, that is up to you. The challenge is: choose one prompt from the list below, and include at least 5 sentences of journaling. Thant's all. Photo, no photo, is up to you. Plain and simple or mixed media, up to you! Go wild! Here are the chosen prompts: 1. By me, April is known for rain. Describe the best rainbow you have ever seen. 2. April is the start of a new quarter in the year. What do you have planned for the next 3 months? 3. Who are the people that always cheer you up? What do you appreciate about them? 4. How do you spend your April months usually? Traveling? Staying in? Getting Outdoors? 5. Where in the world would you love to visit in the month of April? Here is my page. I chose prompt #1! I was driving back and forth on a highway daily, and it was a beautiful double rainbow! Years ago I also saw a video of the Rainbow Guy, who was in awe of the rainbow that he saw that he was brought to tears. It's heartwarming, funny and sad all at the same time. (he has since passed). Give that a watch too! Gentle Reminders: The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad. The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
Prompt #1: My niece's wedding in Oct was graced with the beautiful rainbow directly after the ceremony, it was magical. I didn't have a great pic of my niece in front of the rainbow, but I got a great one of my girls.
I chose prompt No. 1 about rainbows. It's hard to pick a favorite so I used two different photos. Technically the bottom one is called a "moonbow" but it was too good not to feature!
