Alarm Clock Woes

My poor kid. He keeps getting his alarm clock all messed up. I think he hits it in his sleep or something :giggle

This morning his alarm went off an hour and ten minutes early, but since it said 6:15, he thought it was time to get up. He got up, got dressed, ate breakfast, brushed his teeth... all ready to go. He was worried I wasn't going to get up in time to get him his medicine, so he came in and woke me up - at 5:55. Uggh!

Poor guy. By the time 7:00 rolled around and it was bus time, he was ready to lay back down and sleep. I'm sure after a full day of school & a 2 hour gymnastics practice this evening he will be ready for bed early!
 
But that was good that he got up on his own and got ready :) Our old alarm clock was wierd like that...I ended up tossing it and getting another one. :)
 
At least he got himself ready! My kids would have seen that I was still asleep(most likely turning my alarm off) and go back to sleep!
 
He just decided to watch tv. I think he watched pokemon or something while i slept a little longer.
and i think the alarm clock needs to get moved to the other side of his room so he can't hit buttons in his sleep!! :giggle
 
Poor kid! I'm one to squeeze every possible minute of sleep in that I can in the morning so something like that would probably be my un-doing! I hope that's a one time thing for him, but I am impressed that he got up and got ready by himself!
 
Oh No!!! How old is your son?! How awesome that he gets all ready and only came in to wake you so that you could administer meds! My kids would have woke me long before that point, or they would have watched tv until after the bus came without even thinking about getting ready on their own!!! :) Hopefully you work something out though for his alarm clock!
 
moving the clock is a good idea. Even now...I tell my boys to do that, and then do a backup alarm with their phone just in case they fall asleep after they've showered.
 
Amanda, he's 10. so he is perfectly able to get himself ready, and he does a really great job at it (apparently, *lol*)

today we both overslept! :rofl it was about 10 til 7:00 when we hauled up out of bed. he still got ready in time though, so i guess we just made back a little lost sleep from yesterday.
