I know you'd understand the relief to see this today, boy am I happy! Backblaze has finally finished my initial back up that I started almost 4 years ago....its taken this long thanks to a combination of cr*p internet speeds compared to most of the world and the fact because I want to keep my laptop safe (with all of my recent home invasions and burgularies), it being put in a drawer every night.
Well I couldn't keep it on all the time or out in full view which didn't help.....I've been somewhat cautious after thieves took my last laptop 4 years ago and even more so since the home intruder last year took my mum's laptop and my ipad. I was very lucky they didn't see my laptop as it was right near the ipad at the time so would have more than likely gone had they seen it. Also I didn't exactly help it when I kept "acquiring" more supplies either!
Yeah for being backed up! I bet that's a huge peace of mind for you! It's sad it took so long, but I understand with the caveats.
you don't understand....with still having the little ***** as my neighbour so politely put it last week still making the odd visit, the thought of my laptop with an unfinished backup potentially being stolen gives me nightmares as its exactly what happened nearly 4 years ago - laptop stolen with an incomplete backup so its a huge relief to be done
