This month's LEAP topic with @FarrahJobling is text in a shape. Filling a shape with text in Affinity Designer (and Affinity Publisher) is really easy. First you need to create a custom shape (if you don't know how please see my previous tutorial Using Custom Shapes.) Create the shape you want to write your text into. Here I've created a diamond shape. Select the shape and go to the Layer Menu and choose "Convert to Text Frame". With the shape text selected start typing. Using the context tool bar, change the font. Here I've chosen the Bookman Old Style font. Note: you can change the font of just some of the text by selecting only that part of the text. With some shapes it's a good idea to use the Justify format for the text flow (Align Left is the default) You can use the colour/swatches tabs change the colour of the text, and move the shape text in the same way you would any other object.
