Besides the standard gallery requirements, there aren't any crazy rules to follow beyond simply scrapping with our featured designer for the day!!

Cheryl has two lines of products for Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs: the {Dressed Up} line where you can dress up your layout with everything you want and the {Dressed Down} line where you have a few carefully placed elements. No matter what your style, Cheryl has a template for you!

I thought it would be fun to get to know Cheryl a little better:

How long have you been designing?

I started converting my layouts to templates and opened my first store in February 2010.

When did you join the Lilypad as a designer?

I've been at The Lilypad since January 2016 and I absolutely love it!

Where do you get your ideas for what to design?

Honestly, just about anywhere. I've gotten ideas from patterns on rugs, home decor photos, book arrangements on shelves, floral arrangements, house plans . . . the list just goes on and on!

What are your most favorite templates that you designed?

Wow! That's like being asked to pick your favorite child! Seriously, though, in the last couple of years, my favorite template series is Life In 3D. While I also create the {Dressed Down} versions, I'll personally pick the {Dressed Up} versions for my own self.





Can you describe your design space at home?

I can do one better! I'll share a photo of my space. I'm in a corner/end of our den/computer room.



Do you scrap, too?

Yes, I do scrap! I think it's important as a template designer that I'm making my own layout compositions. It certainly helps to have loads of layouts to use to convert to templates. Also, the practice of routine scrapping helps me when I have a separate ideas for sets of templates that aren't based on my own layouts.

I scrap live on the first Thursday of each month at 9 pm Eastern/6 pm Pacific. I do upload those live sessions to my YouTube channel. You can view those here: Watch Cheryl Scrap LIVE! Playlist
