    I need so much help! I actually took 2 classes on photography and I joined an online group of photographers in my area that share photos they take of places things etc around our county. It's so neat to see so many beautiful photos of the place I live but mine do not compare. Many of them were actually jealous of my equipment so I know I have good stuff I just don't know how to utilize it right.

    I'd love to see an open thread where we could post a photo that we love and another critique type thread. I'd love to be able to post a photo that maybe my composition is off, but I'm too close to the subject to see that's the problem. Or that maybe a different angle would make the photo more interesting. Or even just a practice thread? Like maybe for a week-fortnight-month-whatever, the focus is portraits. So, we could post a photo at the beginning, and then have general tips and tricks related to portraits (like angle, or lighting) and then post another one to see our improvement.

    I like the prompts available even if I don't always follow them.

    On this note, I lost a lense this week: it just came loose and went inside in... Very strange and heartbreaking.
    I take care of my stuff, so that's even more painful :(
