18 Dec Speed Scrap! Instructions and Pages here

Today’s speed scrap is about choices. My speed scrap motto is “it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission”... ok, maybe not a great life lesson overall, but for speed scraps, it works well. There’s more than one way to follow a rule, and that’s ok! Pick the way that works for you! So in that spirit, I’m making some of those choices explicit. Most of the rules are EITHER this OR that. Your pick! And if you hate making choices yourself, there are only two, so have a coin handy to flip! Or ask your fellow scrappers in the chat. We love to help! Easy peasy!

Official stuff: You have two hours from the start of the speed scrap to complete it. It must be 50% TLP products and uploaded and linked here in this thread at that time. If you do that, you get a coupon to get some more awesome TLP goodies for yourself! Sound good? Good. Here we go.

1. Choose a template. You’re going to be changing it up, so no worries if it’s one you’ve used before or one that’s not your usual style. You’ll be making it your style! New and don’t have any TLP templates yet? There are FREE ones in the store! https://the-lilypad.com/store/TEMPLATES/?sort=price&sort_direction=1&page=47 (SPOILER ALERT: you’ll need either one more or one fewer photo than what the template has….)

2. Either A) rotate the template, or B) flip the template. Rotate it 10 degrees, or 90. Flip it horizontal or vertical. Whatever. We won’t judge.

3. Either A) replace the background paper with a photo (blending a photo into the paper counts, but it’s gotta be a BIIIIG blend), or B) replace a photo spot with something other that a photo (a paper, journal card, ephemera, frame, 100 sequins, whatever) either clipped or done in approximately the same size and shape. Then fill up any remaining photo spots with photos!

4. Either A) delete at least 3 things from the template, or B) duplicate and move at least 3 things from the template. “Things” here include all the paper, photo, and element stuff, but not title or journaling!

5. Either A) journal where the template suggests, but put the title somewhere else, or B) put the title where the template suggests, but journal elsewhere. If your template only one of those things (title or journaling), then I guess you don’t get to choose. And if it has neither, you get to do whatever you want. Woohoo!

6. Complete the rest of the template as you normally would, which may or may not involve lots more changes. Whatever your thing is!

7. When it’s done, upload it to the Speed Scraps gallery https://the-lilypad.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=570 and link us up here in the thread with the “Linked Image” code. For bonus points, leave some love to all the other speed scrappers. (Bonus points are used to make you and your fellow scrappers feel warm and fuzzy inside.)
