Welcome everyone! To one more year of the "12 Days of Art Journaling"!!!! I am super excited to be your host again! This year I am trying to not let the holidays bring me down with stress, so I present to you the "12 Days of Art Journaling WITH A FUN TWIST!" This year we will be more relax and your challenges will have a twist if you wish to fulfill those. (That means you can go ahead and let yourself be inspired by the true lyrics of the 12 Days of Christmas song or you can choose to do the TWIST.... or you can do both if you feel the NEED to create! Remember we are super open to what we call art journaling here in this board, so if your art journal page doesn't look very artsy or messy that is 100% PERFECT TOO! Don't let it stress you out, ok? Are you ready to start? TWIST: On the 1st day of Christmas some true friends brought to you, a cup of cocoa and marshmallows too!! NOTE: Remember to follow the 50% TLP's products rule for the gallery and please do upload your entries to the ART JOURNALING GALLERY here at the TLP.
Thanks @Dalis for initiating this again. I was up at 3:15 this a.m. (sigh), but it allowed me to work on some layouts. Getting close to finishing this one. Apparently I'm not documenting my December, but I can definitely join in on the 12 days. Last year was my first attempt and I love how they turned out. P.S. Are you a poet, too? Love the rhyme.
I decided to go about ATC size, putting all 12 onto a 12x12" page. Here is day 1 - I took the twist. p.s. I also decided I am going to use all those special Christmas fonts I have been collecting but never using. This one is Santa's Sleigh (full deluxe version).
Oh, great! I loved last year's 12 days of AJ, so count me in. No idea how am I going to do it as I also want to keep up with DYD, but we will see. Oh, wait a second, maybe I can use the AJ card on my DYD layout... That might work, right?
I used to write, long time ago. I have to say this is not my own creation, but I thought it was so cute!
OK so it has been a while with the AJ.. gotta get back on the AJ way.. This is not as AJ as it should be but I like the way it came out. I may have to redo
I'm still only tentatively interested in art journaling. I was very confused upon first and second readings of this challenge, even after scrolling through the pages already posted above. Is that because art journaling is totally up to interpretation and I'm trying to find rules to follow like in speed scraps? So, to clarify . . . we are to be inspired either by the lyrics of the song or by the parody lyric? And it doesn't matter whether we include the lyric on the page? I'm thinking of making a page about the awesome thermos mugs I got a year or two ago mostly for our drives around surrounding neighborhoods to look at holiday lights. That's what the parody lyric about cocoa and marshmallows made me think of.
