I like black licorice too, and I love black licorice jelly beans. My family's heritage is Dutch and not many "Dutch things" still exist in our family culture, but anise is one of them!
I love candy corn & black licorice. @Tree City at the Dutch King's Day Festival this year, we got banana & licorice gummy monkeys. I know it sounds strange, but they were very good.
i think the black licorice thing must be genetic - DH's mum's fam is half Dutch and she luv's it and now she has to share with my DS whenever there is licorice- he definitely didn't get it from me!
