Off to a great start - had to change out some pieces that weren't current, but still like how it turned out!

 

This was a great challenge- simple is hard for me, thx for the push!~

I hope I’ve got this loaded right! Everything is from a beautiful Dawn Inskip kit I bought recently. 6 elements: rose, ribbon, lace, flower, button, bead dangle.

 

This was a bit of a challenge for me because I really like to fill the page but I'm happy with how it came out.



6 elements are: branch, flower, ribbon, button, lace doilie, tag (p.s. the word art was an individual png)

 

Can we make our own wordart? I am having a problem finding something suitable

 

Hi! This is my first MOC. I don't anticipate finishing everything but I'm excited to play for as long as I can. Being a newbie, a couple of questions came up for me as I made this first layout.

@mrs2a50 The solid paper I used for the background is actually just a color fill with a texture (there were no solids in the kit I used). Does simple stuff we make ourselves, like this background, count as non-Lilypad material when making sure to use 75% current Lilypad designs? It’s not an issue for this layout, because everything else except the frame is Lilypad, but it made me curious as I usually find myself augmenting a kit with some quick homemade Photoshop assistance like I did here.

The way I used a journal card was to extract the 3 circles design from it (by masking it). I believe this would be within the challenge guidelines but I wanted to double check since the whole card isn't showing.


Primary kit used is Good Stuff mini from Allison Pennington. Full credits in gallery.
