My template had the journaling right on the background paper, so I clipped a solid paper to a patterned tag in one of my kits and placed that behind my journaling.
When I saw the word strips in the Sabrina's Creations kit, I knew they would work just fine for what I wanted to say. (and you know I'm almost getting to like purple!)
This pushed me outside my comfort zone - I need more ways to challenge myself to use all these gorgeous patterned papers!
I Shouldn't Have Found This Challenge Too Difficult Since I Am Pretty Much Used To Journaling On My Photos & On My Patterned Papers But For Some Reason I Couldn't Get Any Of The Fonts Or Effects To Make My Journaling Stand Out...I Must Have Tried 100 Combinations Of Fonts & Colors To Try To Get The Journaling To Stand Out & I Finally Did After I Walked Away Several Times Cursing Under My Breath...I Ended Up Using The "Radiant Glow" Feature To Finally Get My Journaling To Pop Properly & I Mixed & Blended 3 Papers & Added Several Special Effects To Give My Background More Pop & Pizazz To Match The Shades & Blending Of The Sunset Photos... For My Perfect Summer Layout:I Used: :Beach-Extras-Dawn Inskip

Such beautiful layouts ladies! I got my busy bg blending 3 papers together (well all 3 were busy enough, but I liked it this way more, lol), and I tried so many ways to put some journaling on it, but I couldn't find the right combination, so I ended up adding it on the frame.
I'll have to try that trick of creating a flat color section of the paper. I usually use another paper layer. Thanks for the challenge!
