Hey friends! Around my house, summer is in full swing - record temps, summer storms, camping trips, vacation days - things that send us outside of our routine, right? Even though summer tends to put us out of whack from our "normal" days, we still tend to fall back to what we typically do year round, because I think (at least for me), normal is my comfort zone, normal is no surprises. So your inspiration this month is to scrap the "normal." Be inspired by your every day events that happen all the time, and maybe you barely notice them anymore. Take the time to notice the normal and get it recorded! Here's my page, inspired by my picky eater and our normal mealtime routine: As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad (new prize starting with the July challenges)! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see how your every day inspires you and your scrapping!
nonstop laundry when my son has practice 5 days a week and the kids go to the pool to play at least 3 times a week.
I struggle with taking photos of everyday things. we get into routines and it kind of passes us by. i relize most my photos are events so i miss daily things. like watching the sunrise, or hitting the library. we go every week so i never really think to get photos unless it's an event.
Funny thing.. I spent more than half of my life when the driving forces were to seek the not normal/constant change/new things/LOTS of travel.... these days, not only I feel extreme comfort in the routine, "normal" stuff, but getting out of it is so difficult it provokes anxiety and even panic attacks.... great challenge Julie, awesome pages everyone!!!! This couldn't be more spot on, on the phone, which I do with Sarita every day at least twice a day, and my mum and friends at least twice a week
I'm working on making this normal...well trying to work on making it normal! Maybe the layout will help!
my everyday moment...sometimes lost in the haze of the morning. taken for granted. under loved. my coffee
a normal day when my hubby's kids are at home, they are mad with each other, they would kill each other if I am not there Lol
