Thanks for joining in the slow scrap! You have 24 hours to complete your page (i.e., until 9:30 PM Eastern 10/2) - have fun and i can't wait to see your pages! please post your page in the speed scrap gallery and then link it up here.

note: i allow one "cheat" - in case you just can't make one of the instructions work. just let me know what it is when you post your page in this thread.

    1) layer a light, neutral background paper over another paper (patterned or solid). leave a small border on the left side where you can see the bottom paper.

    2) select one picture and crop it into a square shape. duplicate the picture and change it to black and white. place these two pictures towards the top left quadrant of the page on top of the light, neutral background.

    3) select a patterned paper, and cut it into a large banner shape (i.e., a rectangle with a triangle cut out of the bottom). place that under the pictures, so that the top and bottom are showing.

    4) add some paint to the page.

    5) add some elements to the page - trying to think about placing them in a "triangle" near the pictures. consider adding some layers under the pictures, as well.

    6) add a title towards the bottom right quadrant of the page. add some journaling wherever you want.

    that's it!

Funny story- I thought this was my husband in the picture until I completely finished it... and then I realized it was my brother in law!

I loved @jagera LO with the photo blended into the background paper - so I "cheated" a little and added a second photo to my background. Thanks for the instructions!

I "cheated" by putting the title over the photo, but did journal where the title was supposed to go. :)

ETA: Ohhhh...whoops! I just realized the patterned paper is supposed to go on the left, not the bottom. Dana, let me know if I need to change it. Sorry! (ETA 2: I went ahead and just fixed it. :) )

There is no journaling so I guess that is my cheat.
