Oh how fun to know someone else making a Sophie!!! Which colors did you use? I was a little sad how small mine ended up and I kinda want to make another one in the large size. Eep!
Mine is solid grey - I love it, it really puts the focus on the texture. (Uploading from my phone, hope it works right)
I cross stitch as well ~ very intermittently these days. I did win 3rd place at the interstate fair for a cross stitch I completed. I was so proud of my ribbon. **giggle**
@WendyBird, that is gorgeous. I love the color and it's so cool how different it looks from Karen's... yet so similar. I sigh at the ability to do this And OMGOSH, Cheryl @gonewiththewind. Those are amazing! I bow down to your awesome-ness and I totally wanna be like you when I grow up!
Cheryl... those are just gorgeous! I would love them to hang on the wall... versus leaning on the wall like mine are! They are gorgeous! Do you ever venture into color with the sketches? (Besides the Texas one)... That's birds fuzzy head!!!! super amazing! @gonewiththewind
I love it in grey, Wendy! How big is that... I see the remote... but I'm not sure! very cool! @WendyBird
WOW! some awesome artwork here! LOTS of talent! I oil paint but end up giving them away. Will have to stop by my grandson's office and snap a photo of the one on his wall.
Oh I LOVE the one color Sophie's @WendyBird ! Yours is gorgeous in grey! @gonewiththewind ... Wow! I've seen a few of your zentangles before but hadn't seen your other drawings. They are unbelievably awesome!!
You could totally make one yourself @AllisonPennington The pattern has step by step instructions with pictures AND a video for each one of the steps!
Not a great picture at all, but I painted this about a month ago to hang over our bed. We needed something, and I just couldn't find anything in stores that I like. So I did this off of a photograph of one of my favorites places in the whole world. It's my happy place.
OMG you guys are so talented in so many ways. I can crochet, and sew my own designs (did my own wedding dress) but sewing, crochet or weaving as art pieces. I have to think about that.. I think I can. Just need to get out of my mold. Great thread.
I am amazed... @gonewiththewind ! Those are all fantastic. My only other creativity is cooking and sometimes artfully staging the food. The only thing long lasting about that kind of art is registered by the scale.
@RebeccaH Oh wow! That turned out fantastic!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE @cookingmylife Thank you so much! I truly believe art is in everything we do. My mother is quite the artist and one of her talents is cooking and setting a table (more like a feast). Everything tastes better because of the time and energy she invests to make everything look so good. Keep on creating your (food) art!
This is gorgeous Rebecca! I didn't know you could paint! Is that Hocking Hills? Totally look like it!
