I just posted the page ... this is what had us even busier than usual (even not getting out of the house, calling places and speaking to a number of organizations).... Sarita, my DD , star of most my LOs, auditioned for a place at a Uni level course at the International School of Screen Acting and got in, they offered her a place starting this year in October. Is a huge achievement and a relief to me, also almost guarantees she will get awesome work after - She already has a college degree on Musical Theater (she graduated with Triple Distinction in 2012 and wanted to take a gap year), so this will complete her growing as an actress and broaden the spectrum of auditions she can attend. Is a two years course, the catch is in the fact that the government doesn't fun, nor scholarship, not even students loans, for this kind of schools, as they are categorized as drama schools, not universities. The course is £9000 a year which, needless to say, we do not have. BUT...we are already working towards a career development loan, and finding ways to make it happen, she is willing to work hard and is really excited as this is exactly the type of course she loves....not much written course work, huge possibilities of a great future. I'm so very proud of her and I know we will get there. We weren't going to post publicly until we knew more but we are on the right track (already got some of the money) so when I saw Liz's templates I thought this is a sign I need to share our happiness with you all Please keep us in your prayers/thoughts, I know how much all your support has helped us emotionally and know it will for us to keep in the right path! here is my page, with all credits (which you can get at half price today on SOSN!!!!!just click on the image) thanks again, love you guys and thank you so so much for all you do for me already...I could not have gone the year without your help.
Congratulations to her! What an achievement. Please keep us posted on her progress. You must be such a proud mom!
This is SO awesome Cynthia! How very exciting for her and you! I love hearing stories like this... dreams coming true right in front of your eyes!
OH MY GOSH!!! Jumping up and down with excitement!!!! I was in theater for years and it was my LOVE!! I really miss it! Of course, mine was only local, but it looks like this little gal is GOING PLACES!!!!
Whoooo-hoooo!!! That is so completely exciting and amazing. I can't wait until she's famous and we can all smile behind the scenes because we know good stories about her. Big hugs to you, proud momma!
This is fantastic - congratulations!! Someday when she's famous, we'll be able to say "I sorta-kinda-almost knew her!"
Exciting! I look forward to reading more about her journey. Both my daughters (14 and 12) have enjoyed performing in a couple of plays every year with their homeschool drama club for the last five years, and my 12 year old would love acting to be her career.
Cynthia, this is such exciting news!! Congratulations to both of you, for I'm sure she couldn't have done it without your love, and tears, and support! She's a beautiful girl!
