    Inspired by Jenn's stuffing/dressing question:
Fresh cranberry sauce or the wiggly stuff from a can?

I myself could eat an entire can of the gelled stuff. The fresh stuff is great but there's something about that canned cranberry. Makes even the driest turkey taste, well, like cranberry.

Always home made - is so easy and you get about three times what's in a can. - loaded with berries too, instead of five in the whole berry offering and none in the jelly.

This is my now 17 year old's son's job. He makes the fresh, and I think between the two of us, we devour it. I put it on my plate that day, on the turkey sandwich that night, on toast the next day with cream cheese. On the sandwich for lunch, then again next to the turkey soup that night! lol
but, my girls and youngest boys, love the can, from the sound it makes oozing out in can form onto the plate to the jello like consistency of the cranberry flavored goo.
    so, the answer is both
    bhahhah
Hilarious Post HERE with video of the stuff coming out of the can and miraculously retaining the shape of the can! bhahah

I like the wiggly kind, and the few times that I have had the fresh, I have liked it. One time more than the other, when it seemed as if the "chunks" were smaller - if that makes sense.

Love cranberry! Especially on my sandwich of leftovers!

LOL @ Ann... reminded me of that plop sound and the imprinted lines!

I've never made fresh, but I've always wanted to. However, since I have a tiny family, and they all love the wiggly stuff from the can, that's what we go with. One day ...

I make it fresh, and with orange juice. I don't like it just cran. Too sour.

I can eat both, but prefer fresh.

My sister makes an amazing cranberry relish with orange peel, Lorry! It's AMAZING!

And Jenn, the pieces would be small enough for you. She puts everything in my mom's Ninja and gives it a pulse or two. It has bitty chunks so it's not overwhelming and is soft enough, too.

I'm more of a cran-apple (juice) girl myself. Cranberries by themselves are a little too tart for me. That being said, the can stuff is like a tradition at our Thanksgiving dinners.

fresh, but I cheat and buy mine "fresh" from Trader Joes. I grew up on the canned jelly stuff, and I will have to buy that for my dad this year!

I love both! Cranberries are a funny thing. It seems like you either love them or hate them, there is usually no middle ground. Everybody around here hates them, except for me.
