I love the puppet tool. I was able to move the string around to bring the focus from the arrow to the picture.

Phew! Not as hard as I first thought. Thank you for giving us PSE users an alternative :) Once I started playing with the shadowing (and watching those tutorials you posted), I totally remembered how to do it. So, I've tucked the string over and under the picture as well as threading it through the watering can handle :)

Wish I had CS5 now! Thanks so much for the tip with the blending options, I've been struggling with the shadows on a lot of layouts!

I use PSE, but I had so much fun learning more about masks, how to get a separate shadow layer, smudge, dodge and burn, and so many other things with this layout! Thanks for the challenge!! I am not happy with this page, but I had to stop because it has taken me so long already. LOL

OH.MY.WORD y'all! I already did my layout for this, but discovered something that did not occur to me until today and it WORKED - the puppet warp works amazing for paper scatters/confetti! (i usually mask out the ones that are in my way but this way, you just drag the little buggars right where you want them - i could seriously do a dance right now!!)

This was a great challenge and is something I'll use again!! Thank you!!

This is the "after" layout - I warped the string over the ticket element

Here's the layout before I warped the string:

Here is my LO. I use PSE10 and there is no puppet warp so I cropped paper clip :).

No puppet warp here so I used the string to hold on to the tag :)

I straightened out the green ribbon so that it was not covering the photos.
