I had to do a whole bunch to each photo because they were not good- I was trying to take pictures without appearing rude- some actions to fix colors and lighting, clarity, vibrance, and then black and white for the one photo.
I turned this into a pencil drawing and then added some artist effects such as colored pencil as well as blended modes. Sorry I played so much I should have kept notes on what I did exactly.
I used the same photo treatment that you did Jenn On the background photo, I used tons of overlays and some bokeh brushes Thanks for the fun challenge My Page!
I've wanted to do this sketch to painting technique for a long time and this was the perfect opportunity!
My photo treatment was a combination of bending, grouping and using brushes. Brushes are awesome. Thanks for sending me way out of my comfort zone.
That wasn't easy! But I played around with 3 different photos, applying and un-applying and goofing with settings and this is what I came up with.
I love to use the picmonkey website for photo editing. Firstly, I cropped the pic tighter, then I used an Orton effect, crossed processed with green, added 100% dusk and rounded the corners to give it a beautiful country/vintage tone.
This was really a stretch for me. I followed the tutorial to create a comic book effect on the photo. I then used the magnetic lasso to remove my grandson from the photo. The layout background is two blended papers. Here is the original photo.
