    how do you use these?

is it like val's a bit worn? - duplicate the overlay. make a sandwich with the paper in between? clip the paper to the bottom layer, then change the blend mode to linear light or overlay on the top layer? play with levels.

You don't need to sandwich since these are full sheet size and not a specific shape.. Just clip it to a color fill of your choice/size/shape then play with blend modes and you're all set! :)

Li Li ... I also dunno those overlays exist until now. So I went digging to take a closer look. And found her #2 which is more my style.

Not sure what you are asking Celeste. Do you mean which goes on top? It would be your paper.

Think of the color fill like a layer of a template and you clip the overlay to it. (You can also do it the other way around to get different looks - just always apply the blend mode to the layer on top.)

ooh, I love overlays! you can layer them, clip them, color them, delete parts, and more. such versatile tools!

so you can put your overlay and clip a paper to it and change the opacity or you can reverse and clip the overlay to a paper and play with blend modes. so many options hehe

Celeste, if YOU'RE a noob, there is absolutely no hope for me. :)

I only recently learned about "color" blending mode, which makes all the texture from the layer underneath pop through the color in a color fill layer. I'm like a kid in a candy store with that knowledge, and I think I need these overlays to play more!
