In the layer window, instead of seeing my layout's layers, there is something that looks like a brush on the layer. I've tried resetting the workspace, created a new workspace, but I've had no luck. Now I also have another problem, how do I delete the new workspace I created?

I thought it was just me having this issue. I use PSE 11. It will work fine and then I can't move photos or elements onto another one. Using a template I was unable to add any photos or elements without closing the program and restarting it. I have not updated anything.
Right click on the brush thing in the layers palette and choose a thumbnail preview. You have accidentally turned the previews off. Small preview is the default setting.
I purchased Lightroom 5 and Photoshop 6--Creative Cloud for $99 for a year. When the year is up, I will go to PSE.
