Thanks so much Dalis! I'm so bad at posting I think I messed it up a bit but thank you for squaring it all away :-D I was having so much fun reading through all your gorgeous recommendations and then it hit me that I had read that Kelly was looking for mason jars and I had just seen some
Hi Dallis, um, I've got an ISO but I suspect it is more of which designer should I beg to create something. . . I've been taking classes from Tangie and want to do digitally what I see her do on real paper with watercolor. Specifically, I would love a digital ?action ?style that would randomize the spread of paint..as if I had sprayed the paper with water before I laid some color down. No clue how to do actions but I would want to: define a specific area (like the shirt on a doodle character) set how much wetness was on paper (tiny bit = almost no spreading of paint outside set area to huge bit = lots of spreading outside the specific area) I don't know if this should be run on each daub of paintbrush or after all brush work is done. I am envisioning a separate layer where bleed is darker color right under and next to paint daubs, spreading to a lighter color, nearly gone color furtherest from daubs. If that made sense, lol. I've seen the two watercolor PS tools in the shop but I use CC Any ideas who to approach? Or perhaps a work around or idea for faking it using bits of paint splats (because I have a ton of splats in my stash lol).
@Mylinn my first thought is that the brushes with the scatter option on, and you can also use 2 brushes at one time. Adjusting the pressure. A few layers, with different colors and you should achieve your end results...and the fun of playing with brushes. push buttons and play with the brush panel...careful it is wicked addicting!
Been playing and realized I need to do some painting with PS tuts again and make a new cheat sheet on how to use brushes. The two are from Mommyish and say are for PSE and Creative Suite - not familiar with either one really. Can PS CC use their items - or convert them to usable? Thanks! https://the-lilypad.com/store/CU-Watercolor-Action-CS-PSE.html https://the-lilypad.com/store/CU-Stylin-175-Watercolor-Styles.html
Short answer: Yes, they will work in Photoshop Creative Cloud (PS CC). Long Answer (for understanding): PSE: Photoshop Elements CS: Photoshop Creative Suite was the precursor to Creative Cloud. Adobe stopped at PS CS 6 and switched to PS CC at that point. In my experience (and I do have a set of Mommyish's watercolor brushes!) unless the description specifically states it won't work, they do work in higher programs. I know Mommyish has a shadow set that won't work in PSE, but does in CC because of how it works, and the description clearly states that, again, that listing says 2015, and I know it works in the PSCC 2018 (higher version).
I've been looking for a great kit with lots of fresh/real flowers and leaves in it. I think the paper scrapper in me hates to mix them and for some reason i prefer to have all my virtual flowers either all real or all paper or plastic! So a kit with a LOT of real flowers please
@Scrappy_dog I too am a lover of real flowers and mixing them makes me twitch! I am the same with foliage! Sahlin Studios has a few I go back to time and time again: Pressed Petals Now these are not "real", but the detail is amazing vintage glitter florals When looking for a batch of something, checking in the CU (commercial use) section is a good place too: CU - Fall Pieces #15 Blooms (Commercial Use) by Just Jaimee CU Flowers 7 by Kristin Aagard Pretty Mums (Commercial Use) by Just Jaimee CU/PU Antipodes Flowers by Lynn Grieveson CU - Flowers #21 $4.00
I tried some searches but no real luck- we are just home from the most amazing, fun vacation to Mexico! Specifically, Los cabos/cabo area. It's tough finding a mexican tropical beach (not hawaiian!) Christmas vacation kit! Lol. Also looking for something like "outdoor adventures" that I can use for our ziplinning pics & swimming with dolphins! Aw... just typing it makes me want to go back!!! #16degreesathome Thanks in advance!
Did you have beer and margaritas? I know there's some awesome dolphin - aquarium - underwater kits in the store. Are you thinking more cartoon or realistic? Or in between? I don't know about ziplining though.
