I love it Heather!! It looks amazing!

I with we could've changed the floor plan when we did our remodel...there just wasn't enough room though.

This is amazing, Heather - kudos to your dh and dad - this is a big job! I love that backsplash - my BIL just installed that at his house and it is gorgeous! And I really like that soft beige colour - very contemporary and it will lighten up everything.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments, obviously I'm totally giddy about it... and the island gets used a ton from being my school and home management headquarters to prepping food... I literally have my homeschool books spread out across it, along with my Vitamix and my coffee maker... and then my big huge home management binder which looks awesome thanks to Gina Miller :wub and is FINALLY getting used now that I have a place to set it that isn't "in the way" and I'm just soooo soooo proud of my hubby who was never a DIYer before and watched a million DIY network shows and This Old House and HGTV shows on his iPad lol... he's become an electrician, plumber and woodworker all in one summer :)
