What's happening in your world this week?

It's crazy hot here. 103 real temp, 115 heat index. Blah. My little one has swimming lessons all week. Thankfully, they are inside where it's air conditioned. My oldest is in Boston for the week with my Mom. She got a tour of Harvard yesterday, which makes me feel both excited and sick to my stomach. LOL I have the usual work stuff. On the scrap front, I have a few pages to do and I want to get caught up on my PL printing.

Hi all. The heat is mild here in Issaquah (East of Seattle before you head over to eastern WA). My boy has Karate and swim lessons this week. My husband is currently restoring a 66' Pontiac, and my mother lives in the mother-in-law apt. with us in our split level is currently knitting shark mittens for the all of the grandkids. I have decided to start my own digital kit making, as I have no excuses left. I have 2 bamboos, a husband in the computer graphic arts (makes computer games) industry and everything, especially his knowledge, is at my disposal.. (I just wish I was a SAHM lol). I just love other artists and wanted to immerse myself in their wonderful work before I took the plunge. I am ready! I spend far too much time "searching" for the right elements that I want, and to design them myself will be exhilarating. There are so many wonderful artists out there it is daunting to even think about being a newbie in this new world, but I will design for my tastes, and hopefully others will enjoy as well. Have a super day all you scrappers!

It warm here too and I just finished working the weekend but still have to go in tonight. I"ll have the next three days off then work the weekend again and will be off for a week as of 7:30am when I'm done being on call. I'm soooo looking forward to our little family vacay.

As for this week, I have a few play dates planned and am brining my kiddoes to a train museum and then out for ice cream in after... Not sure how much I'll get done on the scrapping front but I'm hoping for at least a little bit of time... I also have to fit in half marathon training on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday... phew!

In France we will have our celebration day on July 14th with great fireworks everywhere and planes in the sky...
We will go to see the parents of my husband who live 400 kilometers away (4h) from our home.
My children enjoy my parent's house right now so when I come back from work I can enjoy silence and scrap a lot :-)))

It's back to work for me today. We've all been off since June 28th and it's been heavenly, but alas the real world came a calling. :) I did get the weekend to myself as my Hubby took both boys to a Father/Son camping weekend, so I was able to start scrapping all of our vacation pictures from last week. I'm 10 pages into our vacation already. woo-hoo! :) Hopefully I can keep that mo-jo going in the evenings this week.

Oh yuck! I've heard it's really horrible today! We have the oven heat, but thankfully not the humidity.

This week it's getting back to normalcy after traveling...getting started with Staycation and scrapping, writing and such. And hopefully having oodles of staycationy fun with the family. :) Starting with C25K. This Friday is Harry Potter. woot!

Back to work for me too, but it's a humid and rainy day here in Wisconsin, so it's "almost" the best place to be... At home scrappin' would be way more enjoyable! :-)

We're back to work after a full weekend. DH took part in the International Dragon Boat Races Festival yesterday, which raises funds for breast cancer research. He was pretty sore this morning trying to get himself going. :giggle I can sympathize with the heat everyone seems to be getting - with the humidity it's 114 here. Nothing too exciting for us this week. I need to go shopping for a new dress to wear to a wedding next month and find some time to go through my bathroom cabinets and reorganize a bit. Hope everyone has a great week :)

We're trying to pack in 2 weeks worth of activities in to one! Husband has been on leave, but with my exams and the boys being sick, the first week was entirely wasted!! :( We're going to a local patch to pick blueberries tomorrow. Thursday, we're driving about an hour north and taking the boys to Pierre Bayou Alligator Farm and Brady is sooo excited to see the gators!! He loves that show, "Swamp People" on the History channel. LOL! Friday, I have a dentist appointment that I'm actually excited about...I'm getting fitted for my night guard, so maybe my headaches will stop and my jaw won't stick anymore! Yay! :) And Saturday, we're going to our little historic downtown area and buy some goods from the local Farmer's Market. Should be a fun and full week, with lots of pics to scrap by the end! :)

WOW! What a long week! :) I am ready for this new one to start. On the agenda for me:
TRY TO MANAGE MY TIME WISELY!
    Clean the house (every room)
Scrap assignments (yes, that is what they feel like sometimes)
Get ready for a big farewell party at my place this weekend
Try to be a good mama!

I am booking my tickets for my trips in the fall this week!! I'm going to be visiting Crystal and Sarah (Cornish) in September.. then I'm going to Australia for solar car racing and will be sticking around in Melbourne for a couple of days and will hopefully be seeing Megs (Flergs). Hey Kaye, want to come meet up with us? :D Then I'll be going to New Zealand for a week, then going to Manila to visit with Lex (mrshobbes). I'm so excited!
As for the rest of the week, my friends and I are going to the midnight showing of Harry Potter (despite all having work early the next morning. LOL)

Wow Alice - you are doing a lot of traveling! I would love to go and see Crystal and Lex!

We just got back from 8 days away, most spent in Northern BC at a beautiful mountain lake with lots of sunshine. When it turned grey and cool, we headed towards home and spent a few luxurious days in Jasper. Despite the constant rain, we got in a few hikes. 2035 km later (13 hours there and 13 hours back), we're back home to rain rain rain again. Luckily no flooding where I am, but there are a lot of wet basements around.

GORGEOUS day today! No work...got rid of ALL my paper scrapping stuff, exercised, going out to do some water aerobics now, the weather was perfect...9
80's, breezy and no humidity. My dh made it to Anchorage last night for a day of R&R before he heads off to do another job out in the boonies so at least he had cell service today and we were able to call and chat.

    Ok...off to swim!!
