Hi y'all! Welcome to week two of the March Art Journal Muse. For this week, I am excited that we are going to be tackling collages. Collage is a form of visual art that involves combining different materials and elements to create a cohesive and unified composition. These materials can include paper, photographs, fabric, found objects, and various other materials. Collage can be two-dimensional or three-dimensional, and it can be created using a variety of techniques, such as cutting, tearing, pasting, or layering. (Thank you ChatGPT.) Collage is a great opportunity to make use of your stash. Use all that ephemerayou've been collecting. Play with ribbons or fabric. You can add in traditional art journaling mediums like gesso or paint. This is your chance to have fun. Here is an inspiration board I created to help spark your creativity. I especially liked this collage I found on Pinterest because it is an "all about me" digital collage. I also found some great pages in the TLP gallery. Now it's your turn to get creative. Challenge for Week 2 This week's challenge is to create a collage art journaling page. You can create any type of page ie. clean and simple, artsy, pocket style etc, but you must create a collage. Your page can be all digital or hybrid. Wherever the inspiration takes you as long as you include TLP products on your page. Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery HERE prior to Midnight EST April 2, 2023 and then post it in this thread by copying the code (at the right of your gallery image) from the box under "Share BB Code". We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every layout you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So if you create 1 layout you are entered once, if you create 4 layouts you are entered 4 times. You can use any products in the Lilypad store or retired products from current Lilypad designers, (just make sure you follow our gallery guidelines). I hope y'all are excited to get started.
