I used to get a fresh made honey peanut butter from a local farm when we lived in western WA and I haven't been able to find anything as good or similar since! We're a Adam's No stir crunchy family now! My favorite pb food is a pb buttercream I make for cupcakes- SOOO good!
Yay team crunchy! Fresh made honey peanut butter sounds sooooo good Amie! So does your pb buttercream!
I love peanut butter, but it has to be smooth, not crunchy. Peanut butter on toast, peanut butter cookies, stir-fried broccoli and tofu in peanut sauce, sesame noodles with peanut sauce...
I am big fan of PB&J sandwiches. They travel well and fill the belly. I like crunchy and smooth! I like PBs that are honey nut based so a slight presence for the crunchy varieties.
Skippy smooth peanut butter... I like a chinese cold noodle dish (has a peanut sauce), but haven't had that in many many years.
I prefer crunchy, but it's more difficult to spread. Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are a particular favourite.
I like both but prefer smooth and that's usually all we have in the house. I like to put it on top of my ice cream!
I like peanut butter -- preferably smooth and I mostly eat all natural PB (just nuts and salt). I don't like the Skippy and Jif and brands like that because they taste artificial and too sweet now that I'm used to the natural stuff.
I LOVE crunchy peanut butter - BUT my husband is deathly allergic so I only have it if he is away for a time... I have been using Sunnut Butter crunchy and it is nice to be able to substitute something... oh and a plus is the chlorophyl in sunflower seeds will make cookies made (with baking soda) turn a lovely shade of green! Fun science moment if you have kids!
I agree that PB&J sandwiches travel well. I didn't realize there are peanut butters that are honey nut based; something to look into!
I buy the Skippy Natural Super Chunk variety. That Chinese cold noodle dish sounds good. Did you make it in the past or buy it somewhere?
That's scary your husband is deathly allergic! There is a boy at my son's school with a peanut allergy so my son stopped taking peanut butter sandwiches in his lunch. I'm glad you found a substitute you like; I would love to try making the cookies that turn green!
