Hoping for a good news because I need a good bookmark and this challenge (and this week's Summer School theme) makes me itch to print some printables and do a hybrid project!
Susie, for my bookmarks - I punched a little hole in the top and added a ribbon (or you could use twine) so that would "hang" out the top of the book. They're SO cute.
Yeah, I’m going to say this. I don’t have a use for tags any more than I have a use for my collection of art journals. For me, tags are fun way to make art and challenge myself creatively. I simply enjoy the act of creating. And that’s the only reason I need.
Yes. Unless it is made as a tag that goes on a Christmas or birthday gift. Then it goes with the gift. Both sets I made this round are dangling in my crafting room so they serve as color and inspiration pops. But, they can also go into pockets inside of a journal. Be used as bookmarks. Be adhered to an art journal page. Be used in an organic scrapbooking page. Be pinned to a cork board. Be used as party favors (I see this with the shaker styles). Be stored in a box. Be traded like art trading cards. I suppose what one does with them is as diverse as the artist who made them.
I forgot to add...the tags I made last month are for the paper bag journal...they go inside the pockets. I like it when one project leads to another . Tags are so versatile!
Don't forget to check out the Monthly Muse for tag-spiration. This is a hybrid. I made the pink paper. Using a gel printing press, I made "ghost" tags. In the image below, I blended my pink paper with one of Rachel Jefferies.
Just love your tags Lisa and wow, so many ideas are popping into my head now!! Like I needed more arty stuff to think about!!!
@Pachimac Susie! I LOVE your Harry Potter book marker. Thats one of my favorite quotes! Much love for your tag too, especially the constellations.
Lisa those tiny rectangular tags are adorable, makes me want to get back to creating, i've been so busy lately, might make myself a little personal challenge of a small mini AJ tag every day for a tiny bit of crafting time. Love your photos, thanks for the inspiration!
